Comcast and the Town of Wellington recently agreed for Comcast to extend its network to bring Xfinity and Comcast Business services to the homes and businesses throughout Wellington.
This planned expansion adds to Comcast’s more than $1.2 billion investment into network and technology advancements throughout Colorado over the last three years. Construction of the new fiber-rich highway began earlier in May 2023, and Comcast will begin connecting residents and businesses in the Fall.
With this expansion, Comcast will provide Xfinity’s full suite of services including multi- gigabit Internet speeds over its fiber network, Xfinity Mobile, Xfinity Stream, Xfinity Voice, Xfinity Home Security, and Comcast Business products and services.
“The addition of Comcast as a broadband service provider to Wellington’s portfolio is essential to our commitment to responsible growth for our residents,” Wellington Trustee Brian Mason said. “Gigabit broadband speeds and fiber-to-the-home are essential services that will improve infrastructure and service delivery to the future of our wonderful Town.”
