STEMblazers Podcast Spotlights Inspiring Comcast NBCUniversal Leaders

Comcast NBCUniversal leaders RaChelle Fifer and Sharon Awadalla were recently featured on the seventh season of the STEMblazers Podcast, where they shared details about their background, education, leadership journey, and more.

STEMblazers inspires girls to visualize themselves in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math careers by interviewing exceptional female STEM professionals who share their stories, insight, and words of encouragement to inspire the next generation of young women. 

RaChelle Fifer is the Senior Director of Engineering Operations at Comcast. She spoke about the importance of self-belief and staying open to possibilities: “You really have to have faith and trust in yourself and your abilities and it can take you a long way.”  
 
RaChelle also emphasized the value of servant leadership. “You want people to follow you because they believe in you, not because you’re telling them what to do,” she said. 

Sharon Awadalla is the Regional Vice President of Finance at NBCUniversal Local and has been with the company for nearly 23 years. She shared how mentorship has shaped her career and spoke about the importance of taking risks. 

“I’ve had so many incredible mentors. It’s the reason I’m where I am today,” Sharon said. “A career doesn’t have to be a straight path. You don’t have to know all the answers. Take risks, make informed decisions, and lean into your mentors for guidance.”
