Helping Kids Build Digital Skills at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver

At Comcast, we believe in the power of connection. Through our Lift Zone partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver, we’re helping kids gain the digital skills, confidence, and creativity they need to build their own futures.

Lift Zones provide reliable internet access and access to digital tools and learning programs. With Comcast’s support, kids are exploring everything from 3D design and coding to digital storytelling and online safety. These experiences are helping students grow as learners, collaborators, and critical thinkers — all while having fun.

“It is very important for us to have reliable internet,” said Stephen Martinez, club director for Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver. “A lot of the programs we do are online, where the kids are learning to read, STEM, how to stay safe online.”

This partnership supports Boys & Girls Clubs’ mission to provide safe, welcoming spaces for kids across Metro Denver.

By working together, we’re creating digital opportunity — the ability for young people to use technology to improve their lives and shape their futures.

“Boys and Girls Club can’t do it alone,” said Rick Cope, director of facilities and coach for Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver. “We always need friends, partners to help shape those kids’ lives so they become better young people and then better adults.”
