A digital literacy and employment training program at Wheat Ridge High School is igniting new passions and opening doors to future career paths for students.
The program, created by Easterseals Colorado, is designed to be a one-stop shop offering digital skills training, certifications, and additional resources for student participants, who are sharing positive feedback of their experience.
“This program helps give students a head start on their career search,” said Alex, a Junior at Wheat Ridge High School who is interested in a culinary arts career.
The program helps bridge the gap between high school education and many industry standards, ensuring that students obtain necessary digital skills required in today’s job market, and provides them with an opportunity to explore potential future career paths.
“Be open about what you want to learn and what you want to do. There are so many career options,” said Da’Mon, a Junior who is participating in the program with hopes of pursuing a career in health care.
