Comcast Supports Serve Colorado’s Digital Navigator Special Competition

In partnership with Colorado Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE) Office of the Future of Work, Serve Colorado has released a special Request for New Applications (RFA) that seeks applicants interested in establishing Digital Navigation AmeriCorps programs which address digital inequities.

Comcast is pleased to invest a total of $600,000 in financial and in-kind resources to partner with Serve Colorado and Colorado’s Office of the Future of Work in 2023 and 2024 to create and advance important digital equity initiatives in our local communities. Organizations selected to receive the state grants will be invited to apply for additional funds directly through Comcast to support digital navigator programs.

Having access to the Internet along with the tools and information necessary to navigate the digital world have never been more critical to closing the opportunity gap, and strong partnerships that multiply our collective efforts and impact have never been more vital.” said J.D. Keller, Sr. Vice President Comcast Mountain West Region.  “This collaboration builds on the work Comcast has been at for more than a decade; teaming with governments and local organizations throughout the State of Colorado to ensure more people have access to and are empowered to be connected to what matters most to them.”

Digital inclusion is considered a foundational social determinant of health, as it is the backbone to all of the others – economic stability, health care and education access, neighborhood and physical environment, and social and community wellbeing. Digital navigators will support our communities by addressing digital inequities through increased service and support, improved home connectivity and device access, and expanded digital skills training.
