Driving Support for NoCO Students Through The Loveland Drive-In

The more connected we are to what matters, the stronger our bonds are to each other and our communities.  This is one of our foundational values at Comcast. How we do that might look different this summer, and we are all getting creative to maintain these connections to our friends and families in a safe and healthy way, while still having some summer fun.

We are excited to join one of our community partners in Loveland, Colorado to host a safe, socially distanced pop-up drive-in movie theater experience for local families. The temporary summer series provides families with an outdoor entertainment experience benefitting the Thompson Education Foundation.

All donations above the event production costs go directly toward the Thompson Education Foundation, a local community partner of ours. The Thompson Education Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing exceptional educational opportunities for students and teachers in the Thompson School District. The foundation supports programs, activities, and scholarships, serving students in Loveland, Berthoud, south Fort Collins and outlying communities.

Here’s what folks’ donations can provide:

  • $20 fills a backpack with school supplies for a student for an entire year
  • $30 gives a student a field trip opportunity to learn outside the classroom
  • $50 provides food, gas and hygiene items for a homeless student and their family
  • $100 supports classroom grants for teachers to create a new activity to engage students

In this time of social distancing, the Loveland Drive-In created the perfect opportunity to help our community celebrate summer together. Thompson Education Foundation is excited to partner in this effort and provide a safe place for our students and families to enjoy.” – Kim Akeley-Charron, Executive Director of the Thompson Education Foundation

We are proud to support this summer series benefitting Northern Colorado students and are proud to help keep all Coloradans connected. Whether that’s through supporting emergency relief funds and local organizations, providing 60 days of free Internet service to new low-income households in our community through our Internet Essentials program or opening free access to our public Xfinity WiFi hotspots to anyone who needs them – we’re committed to keeping you connected to what matters.

Shows for the Loveland Drive-In are offered Friday-Sunday, 9 a.m., 5 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Visit their website to review the calendar and purchase tickets for your family today: https://www.lovelanddrivein.com/tickets.html
