Celebrating Our Partnership with United Way Agencies Across Colorado

Giving back and empowering our communities is part of the tradition and legacy of our Comcast core values. In Colorado, Comcast has strong partnerships with United Way agencies across our state and each year we give our employees a chance to make a difference within their local communities.

Since 2001, more than $100 million has been provided to local communities by Comcast NBCUniversal and our employees through our annual Employee Giving Campaign. In 2019, Comcast Colorado employees donated more than $360,000 to local nonprofit organizations including United Way agencies across the state. Nationwide, $10 million was pledged to nonprofits across the country to help strengthen our local communities.

Our annual Employee Giving Campaign is one of a number of ways we partner with United Way, including through charitable contributions to local United Ways, year-round volunteer opportunities and the promotion of our Internet Essentials program.

One recent example of our partnership was brought to life when around 100 Comcast employees from across the Western United States teamed up and volunteered their time on a service project benefitting the communities served by Mile High United Way and United Way of Larimer County. The teams worked to compile community care kits for people experiencing homelessness. Assembly lines filled a large conference room at the Gaylord of the Rockies and at the end of the project 800 kits were compiled to be provided to people in need.

United Way levels the playing field to provide opportunity for every person in every community. Through a network of 1,800 community-based agencies throughout the United States and around the world, United Way addresses the particular challenges and aspirations of the local community it serves.

At Comcast, we are proud to partner with these agencies to support the important work they are doing in our communities. You can read more about Comcast’s commitment to United Way here.
