Meet Amy Lynch: The Leader Challenging the Status Quo and Her Team to Deliver Operational Excellence

Amy Lynch, Senior Vice President of the Comcast Mountain West Region.

How does one person successfully lead a team of more than 3,200 people across five states, serving more than 2.1 million customers?

For Amy Lynch, the new Senior Vice President of the Comcast Mountain West Region, it’s all about being a coach and a teacher, rolling up your sleeves and getting involved, but always challenging your team to think about what excellence looks like.

Amy is a 21-year veteran of the telecommunication industry and has been with Comcast for the past 16 years. She’s held a variety of roles ranging from sales and marketing to engineering and most recently she’s led entire regions for the company, but one thing that’s stayed true throughout the course of her career is her growth mindset.

Regardless of what position you are in or where your company is, you should always be learning. This is critical to staying relevant. Learning is a nonstop process that I challenge myself and others to embrace.”

Her knowledge quest, learning and continuous questioning in a heavily male-dominant tech industry makes her a respected leader for the Comcast Mountain West Region, which encompasses Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, southern Arizona, and parts of Idaho.

Amy is passionate about encouraging more women to consider careers in technology. Amy is particularly focused on making technology fun and relevant for young-school aged girls. She’s spoken at events for young girls in the past and is currently writing a book for girls ages five to eight about how to use science and math in everyday life to solve problems and create possibilities. She hopes to have the book finished in 2020.

I’m passionate about anything science related, especially when you combine education and advancements in technology to improve people’s lives.”

Beyond supporting young women in STEM careers, Amy is highly involved in her community. She’s volunteered for many years on community boards like the United Way and K-12. Her favorite time of the year is Comcast Cares Day, our company’s annual tradition to help strengthen the communities where our customers and employees live and work.

Amy is an engaged leader with her community and her teams. She’s constantly challenging her teams to think differently to continue to deliver results and improve the customer experience.

Please join us in welcoming Amy to Colorado and the Mountain West Region!
