At Comcast NBCUniversal, creativity, innovation and connection are the heart of what we do.
Denver Startup Week is the perfect opportunity for companies like ours to engage with the entrepreneurs, local leaders and community members to join us in discussing innovation and ideas that help connect us with each other and our community.
Comcast has a large presence in Denver with more than 7,600 employees right here in Denver and nearly 10,000 employees across the state.
Comcast NBCUniversal in Colorado is also comprised of many innovative companies, like Bluprint (formerly known as Craftsy) who will be participating in a number of events during the week. Bluprint is a digital platform helping people learn and be inspired by world-class experts, classes and tutorials across a wide range of creative activities, and a global community of like-minded doers.
Another Comcast entity who will be present at startup week is Comcast NBCUniversal LIFT Labs for Entrepreneurs. LIFT Labs gives talented entrepreneurs access to Comcast NBCU’s network of partners, brands, and mentors to foster rapid breakthroughs in our areas of focus. They’re always interested in learning about products and business solutions in these categories: Connected Life, Entertainment Everywhere, Smart Places, Next Gen Marketing, and Digital Wellness. If you’re an entrepreneur working in one of these areas, want to know more about how Comcast partners with and supports startups, or want feedback on your pitch, sign up to meet with them!
And, make sure to connect with us during the panel discussion on Monday, September 24 from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. at Basecamp – Getting Big While Staying Small: Maintaining the Startup Spirit in a Big Enterprise Environment – hosted by Comcast’s President of Technology and Product, Tony Werner. Tony, along with Catharine Balsam Schwaber, General Manager at Bluprint, Zane Vella, Vice President, Product – Interactivity, Comcast and Jenna Walker, Managing Director of Techstars Sustainability in partnership with The Nature Conservancy will speak to how startups can retain their own culture when acquired by a larger company.
Throughout Denver Startup Week, a variety of Comcast entities and employees will be active, connecting with entrepreneurs, sharing ideas and discussing way to collaborate.
We are proud to be a part of the Denver entrepreneurial community, and we can’t wait to connect with you all during Denver Startup Week 2018!
